This blog comprises the impressions gathered during a six day travel through the northeast of Turkey (provinces Erzurum, Ardahan, Artvin, Rize and Trabzon) and the southwest of Georgia (Batumi). The tour was mainly conducted by car and comprised a couple of walks and hiking tours through the impressive nature of that region.

The old cable car
Close to the south entrance of the Batumi botanic garden, there is the beach station of an old, abandoned cable car, which seems to originate from Soviet times. A pity that it does not operate any more ...
